Boo!

We love halloween around our house.  It is one of our favorites for many reasons.  You can pretend to be something you are not, our home becomes spooky, and one can devour lots of sweets!

Here is my racoon costume, I made the tail with minky fabric and bought ears from Target, easy easy.

Paul was a trash can.  Don’t raccoons and trash cans go hand in hand?

Lucas was a brave little lion.  He was so funny in his costume, roaring at everyone and jumping down the street.

Ezra loves his Darth Vader Costume so much he says he wants to be Darth Vader again next year.  It was pretty entertaining.  It had a voice changing box so when he spoke it would make him sound like Darth Vader.

We had our annual Trick or Treating Soiree with friends and family.  I made a huge batch of cake pops.

My sister in law brought the orange jack o lanterns filled with pudding, aren’t they cute.   We ate a huge pot of chili, and some very spicy green chili too.

These are called Indoor Smores and they are amazing, addicting and extremely bad for you.  If you are dieting, do not make these.  You will not be able to stop eating them.  I had several women curse me for making them that night.  You can find the recipe here.

I almost forgot to show you our pumpkin creations for this year.  Paul made his the NHL (National Hocky League) logo.  He is always so artistic with his pumpkin.  I used a drill on mine and made a chevron pattern all over my pumpkin.  To add a little more chevron I tapped in some upholstery nail heads in a chevron pattern too.

Ezra carved a spooky face in his.

There were many other spooky decorations outside like a graveyard, skeletons, a fog machine and a strobe light.  But it was too dark to get a good picture.  We had a wonderful halloween.  The boys recieved a lot of candy on their trick or treating.  Now we just have to figure out some projects to use it all up!
