As I promised, I rearranged my open shelving arrangement in my kitchen.
I loved how cute it was before.
I felt it was time for a change. I wanted to make it as pretty as the rest of my kitchen. Since we have so much brushed nickel in all of our hardware, I thought it would be nice to add a little silver sparkle in the mix.
Here is the after.
Here are the details of the items in the shelves.
White Dishes: Our Everyday Dishes from JC Penny- They seem to be indistructable which is important when you have kids. Plus, they are a perfect knock off of some at Pottery Barn.
Ramekins and glass bowls- Pyrex- I use these for EVERYTHING. I give the boys snacks in them, I eat my ice cream out of them, I cook with them. We don’t use a lot of plastic in our house which makes these perfect because they don’t break when dropped by little hands.
Blue and White Plate- This was my Grandmothers. I have a bowl that matches. It is antique, I believe from Sweden.
Three Little mirrors- Found at a garage sale (I liked them because they looked like some from Ballard Designs).
Salt and Pepper Shakers- Target
Mercury Glass Mushroom- Kohl’s
Blue Tea cup and Saucer- Found at an Antique Store about a year ago
White dessert plates- came with our everyday dish set
Gravy Boat- Target
Wine Glasses- All Wedding Gifts
Blue Cake Stand- A thrift store find
I love how it turned out, it is such a nice change of pace. The little sparkle catches the light just right.

The silver looks great! I also really like what you had before. Maybe you can alternate if you get bored?
I’m so excited that you are up and running again! Can’t wait to see them projects.;)
