The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane

The end of the school year came for Ezra and it was a sad event.  Ezra had the same teacher for both 1st and 2nd grade, which we felt very fortunate for. She was the BEST TEACHER EVER!

Ezra had a very specific gift in mind for his teacher.

They had just read The Tale of Despereaux by Kate Dicamillo in class and when he asked his teacher if she had ever read The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, she had told him that she had not, but that she had been interested in reading it.

He insisted we go out to the store and purchase her a copy of it to bring on the last day of school.  He wrote her a sweet little poem on the inside cover so that she would always remember it was from him.

We looooove this book.  It is one of our favorites to read together.  The story of Edwarde Tulane is not one that will leave you once you have read it.  Very sweet and touching indeed.

You can find it at Amazon.

xoxo

  1. Oh gosh she will cherish that. Ezra has his mother’s talent for thinking of thoughtful gifts.
