Here is our menu from our pirate party… it was all so tasty.
Dig for Treasure Dip- 7 layer dip
Pirate Ships with Cannonballs- Melon Ball Salad
Captain Hook Chicken Legs
Smee’s Famous Salad
Cupcakes from Neverland
I did the 7 layer dip in individual cups so that people could walk around with thier dip and mingle. Plus, it is just cute.
We ordered the cupcakes from Dilly Dale’s Delights in Montrose. We got an assortment of flavors from bread pudding cupcakes, reese’s peanut butter cupcakes, chocolate and vanilla swirl cupcakes, they even had some gluten free choices! They were really tasty. The best part, I didn’t have to work hours and hours baking.
I made a punch with guava juice and sprite for the kids…total sugar high.
To make the melon salad, I simply cut the watermelon in half and scooped out the insides with a melon baller. Mixed in some cantelope, honeydew and kiwi and plopped it back in the water melon shell. To make it cuter, I just took a skewer and taped a paper sail to it and stuck it in the watermelon. Easy as that.
We also had yummy green salad.
Of course, some libations for the adults.
Chicken Legs on the grill, just like pirates like them.
Here is Lucas and his friends eating thier pirate feast. Yummm.
Make sure you check out my post on the inspiration, the favors, and the decorations.
