Backyard Dreaming

We have struggled and struggled with our backyard over the past three years.  Our issues: a dog who loves to dig, lack of mature trees, lack of money to plant said trees and landscaping, and time to deal with it all.  So our yard is a field of grass and holes, with a fun play area, a rock scaped hot tub area, and a patio.  We live in Colorado, so often times my green dreams cannot come true as things do not grow as green and large and lush as they do in the East or in the South.  They do grow some though.  Our yard is functional, and enjoyable even, but not our dream yard by any means.

I decided today I would take a little break from our backyard stress and escape into fantasty land.  C’mon, you know you do it too.

I love all the large trees framing this yard, and the quaint feel to the seating area.  Doesn’t appear to be a dog that digs in this pretty yard.

Again, large trees, lots of green, cute seating area.  This one is very calm and relaxing.  I like that the grass isn’t the entire focal point, the prettiest part of this yard is the rock area.

Can I please have a fun dinner party in this pretty structure?  And really look at all of those trees and flowering bushes surrounding it.

I think the theme of this post might be big trees, haha.  This one has big trees surrounding too.  I love the curving border.

I would love to dine at this french inspired seating area on a rock patio.
