Living room update- Couch

We have a new little friend around here.

Our couch was a bit old, and a bit too big for our living room.  It also had some water stains on it.

You can really see the water spots on this picture below.

It wasn’t anything nasty, just water stains from having drinks sweat on the couch or the boys spilling… but it looked really ugly.

I tried every single trick, pinterest tip, and cleaning idea for that couch and it would always seem clean for a few days and lo and behold there the water spots again.  I HATE MICROFIBER!

We researched and found a couch that we felt was the correct scale for the room, was the color I wanted and most importantly was not microfiber.  I needed something that would hold up to sippy cups, fingers, crayons, tennis shoes and dog paws.

We sold our couch on craigslist an hour after we posted it.  Apparently, it was a good deal.

We waited patiently for our new couch to arrive.

Here she is.  Simple, dark grayish brownish with a slight texture to the fabric.  We do miss the sectional for lounging, but this couch is really the perfect size for the room and makes our house feel so much more spacious which to me is priceless.

We need to cover those horrid pillows that came with it.  That will be one of my next projects! Why do they make couch pillows so awful?  Do they not have stylists working for them?  Really?  Maroon, tan and brown circles is the best you got?!

Other than that she fits into our family perfectly.

xoxo
