My laundry room situation has always been a trouble spot for me in this house. Part of the problem is that I do not have an entire room set aside just for laundry, this room is shared with the pantry off of the kitchen.
In my dreams I would love to have a laundry room with organization like this. Source.
or this. Source
Alas, I don’t have that kind of space or light. I have adopted a few little organizational ideas however.
I now have my Oxyclean in a cute little canister rather than the ugly plastic container that it comes in.
I also have a little white ceramic container which is where I put Box Tops once they are cut out. For a long time they simply lived in a ziploc on top of the counter, so this little pot is a great esthetic improvement.
As I mentioned the other day, we also have the basket where unclaimed toys go in the laundry room.
You can see that I have my Wallflower inserts in a egg carton. I am sure there are many more clever ways to store these. I will let you know if I come up with anything clever.
I love the shelf we installed a few months ago. It really allows us to have more room to organized. You can read that post HERE.
So, as far as a real persons house goes, I think we are doing pretty well on the laundry room front. It isn’t magazine worthy, but it works. I mean, really, do you know anyone whose laundry room really looks like those super staged beautifully designed spaces?

You do fabulous with the space you got!
I can’t wait to see your future laundry room…then you’ll show off your hot organizational skills and get to refer back to this one. It’s gonna be great then and it’s great now.:)
